About K.C. Baran
Devoted to Justice and Service
K.C. Baran, a candidate for 67-4 District Court Judge, has over 25 years of Michigan legal expertise. Landlord-tenant conflicts, land contracts, collections, civil actions, civil infractions, misdemeanors, and probable cause hearings for felony cases are just a few of the many cases he has handled in the district court over his professional career.
For almost 23 years, K.C. has frequently practiced in the 67-4 District Court in Fenton during Judge McCabe’s tenure. He has firsthand awareness of how the district court serves the community and the responsibility that comes with presiding over matters that have a direct impact on people’s lives because to his vast knowledge.
K.C. is a longtime community volunteer, a U.S. Army veteran, and a West Point graduate in addition to his legal profession. He has stayed dedicated to justice, honesty, and maintaining the rule of law through his work in the courts and community service.

Professional Community Service and Leadership
Leadership and Military Service
K.C. Baran is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where a career of devotion to the country is emphasized. Later, he was an officer in the U.S. Army, where he received the Overseas Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, and three Army Commendation Medals.
In addition, he earned the Senior Parachutist Badge by completing Airborne School and Jumpmaster School. He also served in deployments and assignments throughout the United States, including Alaska, Guam, California, Louisiana, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas, and New York.
Professional Career and Education
K.C. has practiced law in Michigan for almost 25 years after graduating with honors from Michigan State University College of Law. He has been a frequent attorney at the 67-4 District Court in Fenton for more than 23 years, handling a broad range of civil and criminal cases.
Community Leadership
K.C. has made significant contributions to his community through volunteer work and leadership, such as:
- 20 years as a member and vice chair of the Fenton Township Zoning Board of Appeals
- Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation Board member and vice chair
- Firefighter volunteer
- Coach for the debate squad and a board member of its 501(c)(3) organization
- MHSAA basketball referee and basketball coach
- Participate in volunteer work at Fenton’s St. John the Evangelist Church
- Active participant in groups such as Moose Lodge, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus

Apart from his legal profession, K.C. has continued to be involved in the community by mentoring kids in debate programs, coaching young sports, and helping with civic boards and local groups. His commitment to helping the community and maintaining the rule of law has been reinforced by these encounters.
Family Life
K.C. Baran has devoted his life to helping his family and his society. He is a husband, father, lawyer, and business owner. His dedication to public service has been driven by the same principles of accountability, honesty, and diligence that he applies to his personal life.
K.C. has continued to be actively involved in his community despite his professional career by mentoring students, coaching youth sports, volunteering, and supporting neighborhood organizations.
